Annual Report


The year 2018-19 has been a very eventful one for the school. It got affiliated to CBSE upto Secondary level.
As regular practice followed every year, this session began with the Orientation Programme for the parents of Class 1st. The programme made the parents aware of the scheme of education imparted by the school.
1. Competitions

  • The students participated in various competitions like Reading, Writing, Debate, Declamation, Solo/Couple Dance, Singing, Rangoli Making, Rakhi Making, Drawing Competitions, Poster Making Competitions etc. in the session 2018-19. They performed well and scored different positions.

2. Recognition and Awards

  • As the regular practice followed every year, students who got positions in competitions in AY-2017-18 were awarded with medals and trophies on Recognition Day in the month of April. These trophies and medals prove a great motivation for the students.

3. Student Enrichment Programme

  • A career guidance session was organized for the students of classes IX and X in the month of March. Mr Vijay Jakhar from Career Launcher Bathinda was the resource person of the day.
  • Measles-Rubella vaccination was given to the students to protect them from the same in the month of March. It was given by a team of fully trained health staff.
  • A Mobile Science Exhibition was held in school in the month of July. It was conducted by Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. The students had a look on different science modals and activities. It was organized to inculcate scientific aptitude and temperament in young minds.
  • A Dental Check-up and Awareness camp was held in school in the month of August. Dr Manisha checked the teeth of the students of Classes I to IX and the students were informed about the different ways of dental cleanliness.
  • A Traffic Safety Awareness Seminar was held in the month of November to make the students aware of the road safety and updated traffic signs. Mr. Suresh Kumar Singh, ASI Traffic, Punjab Police, Mansa was the resource person of the day.
  • The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare carries out the National Deworming Campaign every year. For the same, the District Level Co-ordination Committee had given Albendazole tablet to be administered one to every child. This tablet was given twice a year to prevent Chronic Soil-Transmitted Helminths (STH). STH can cause anaemia, malnutrition, growth faltering and impaired cognitive development.
  • Under the ‘Tandrust Punjab Mission’ ( ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ) a competition was held to generate awareness among children about the harmful effects of plastic. Children of classes 1 to 5 participated in the Poster Making Competition. They were provided with the different topics. Children performed well.
  • Children of classes 5 to 9 appeared in TALLENTEX exam in the month of October. They performed well in the exam. ALLEN Carrier Institute Kota conducts a national level talent encouragement exam every year. It not only offers the students a great opportunity to win rewards but also facilitates them with national recognition and performance analysis.

4. Celebrations and Events

  • Different festivals like Basant Panchmi, Children’s Day, Diwali, Dussera, Lohri, Independence Day, Republic Day Christmas etc. were celebrated in the year 2018-19. The school celebrates these festivals to make the students aware of different ways and reasons to celebrate these festivals. All the students participated actively.

5. Investiture Ceremony

  • The much awaited Investiture Ceremony was held in the month of July. The newly elected Student Cabinet was adorned with sashes. It instilled leadership qualities in students. They act as an important link between students and the school management.

  • Students of class IX observed Vigilance Awareness Week in the month of November.  They were told about the ethics and integrity to be maintained during exams.
  • Students participated on Mini Triathlon- cycling, running and walking. It started from Grain Market, Mansa and ended at Multipurpose Sports Stadium, N M College, Mansa. It was organized by the District Administration, Mansa to make the children aware of the benefits of different physical activities to stay fit.

6. Excursions

  • Students of classes I to IX went to a one day Recreational Trip to Hardy’s World, Ludhiana in the month of September. They enjoyed the day with delicious meals and endless fun.
  • Students of Classes V to IX went to a tour to Dharamshala/Mcleodganj/Kangra in the month of June. The children enjoyed a lot in the hills of Himachal. The tour developed a good social interaction among children. They learnt to be more independent.   

7. Sports Activities

  • The school took the initiative to provide a good mix of outdoor and indoor sports and games to the students. The students attended these classes with great excitement on every Saturday and Sunday.
  • The school provides the following games.

  • The school provided a healthy fresh breakfast to the students on every Sunday. The food was prepared in the school and the children enjoyed it.

8. Club Activities

    • Social Club took the initiative to distribute useful books to the needy students in the month of February.
    • Eco Club observed the World Environment Day by planting saplings in the school campus.

    9. Summer Camp

    • A summer camp was organized from 1st June to 6th June for the students of classes I to IX in the month of June. The children played indoor and outdoor games, read books in the library, improved their handwriting skills. It proved to be a great experience for the students.

    10. EduSports

    • The school partnered with EduSports, India’s no. 1 sports education organization in the month of October. EduSports programme is designed with the mission of developing a generation of smarter, fitter, healthier and sports-inclined individuals. 
    • As a part of school’s curriculum, structured play sessions for every child were conducted by a team of trained EduSports resources during Physical Education period.
    • Children found EduSports very interesting. They learnt life skills and social skills while playing.
    • A Parent Orientation Programme was also conducted in the month of October to provide the parents an in-depth knowledge of the programme and to have the first-hand experience of few EduSports activities.

    11. Teachers’ Enrichment Programme

    • A full day workshop on Classroom Management was conducted in the school by the Macmillan Education in the month of October. Ms Inderjeet Kaur from Macmillan Education, Chandigarh was the resource person of the day. It was proved useful for the teachers as they learnt the necessary skills and techniques for effective classroom teaching and management.

    12. Parent Teacher Meetings and School Website

    • Six Parent teacher meetings were held during the year 2018-19. The academics performance of the students and their behavioral issues were discussed with the parents.
    • Keeping the school up with the pace of the modern world, the school website was updated throughout the year with fee structure, syllabi of all the classes, class work and school circulars. It brought more transparency and enhanced communication with parents and community. The students were provided with their IDs to access their portal.

    13. Annual Function

    • Mid of November witnessed a magnanimous evening when the school celebrated its 9th Annual Function ‘Star Fest 2018’. The students of classes I to 7th participated in it. Ms Apneet Riyait, The Deputy Commissioner of Mansa was the chief guest of the day. Around 400 children performed in this function.

    14. Achievements in Sports
    Games and sports is the fabric of a student’s life. It holds them together, builds character and promotes team work. In sports arena the students have performed remarkably well and have brought laurels to the school. The detail of various competitions and positions as follows:
